Paul Revere House - Helpful Guide for Boston Visitors

The Paul Revere House in Boston was built around 1680.

Paul Revere purchased and moved into the home in 1770 with his wife Sarah, five children, and his mother Deborah.

After Revere sold the home in 1800, it changed hands many times until In 1902, Paul Revere’s great-grandson, John P. Reynolds Jr. purchased the building to preserve it.

Money was raised, and the Paul Revere Memorial Association was formed to preserve and renovate the building.

In April 1908, the Paul Revere House opened.

At this historic site, the staff will tell the story of Revere’s ride and presents a brief history of his home. Inside the building, staff dressed in period costumes provide information into everyday life for the Revere family and describing the period furnishings and personal artifacts on display.
