TheBus provides extensive bus routes and connects all parts of the Island of Oahu.

Waikiki Trolley is a little expensive but convenient and connects all major attractions on the Island of Oahu in Hawaii.

TheBus
Public Bus Honolulu

 

 

"TheBus" is the official public transit bus service of Oahu Island.

Buses run regularly from Waikiki to other parts of Honolulu and around the island of Oahu, Hawaii.

TheBus Provides a free transfer with your fare within a limited time window (ask for a free transfer when you board and pay your fare).  

In Honolulu, TheBus website also offers a Visitor Guide and Map for the Island of Oahu.

Visitors should consider getting a $35 4-Day Pass for consecutive four days of travel.  

You can purchase a 4-day pass at ABC stores, 7-11, and the Kalihi Transit Center on the corner of Middle Street & Kamehameha Hwy.

- Punchbowl/National Cemetery of the Pacific - 13, 42 to Alapai; transfer to 15 at Alapai Transit Center

- Kualoa Ranch - 8, 19, 20, 23, 42, E to Ala Moana Center; transfer to 55

- Polynesian Cultural Center - 8, 19, 20, 23, 42, E to

- Waimea Valley - 8, 19, 20, 23, 42, E to Ala Moana Center; transfer to 55

- Kailua Beach Park - 8, 19, 20, 23, 42, E to Ala Moana Center; transfer to 56, 57, or 57A to Kailua/Hamakua; transfer to 70

- North Shore (Sunset Beach, Banzai Pipeline, Waimea Bay, Haleiwa) - 8, 19, 20, 23, 42, E to Ala Moana Center; transfer to 55 or transfer to 52 on Kona St. to Haleiwa

- Sandy Beach/Makapuu Beach - 22, 23

 

Waikiki Trolley

 

 

In Honolulu, Waikiki Trolley is another affordable option to travel to major Honolulu attractions.

Waikiki Trolley has 5 lines/routes which take you around the Waikiki/ Honolulu area.

Waikiki Trolley routes go to most major tourist attractions in Honolulu and offer tickets for unlimited rides (1, 4, or 7 days.) 

This is a cheaper option than TheBus if you choose the unlimited rides option if you plan to travel within the Honolulu area.
FYI: it doesn’t have extensive routes likes TheBus does.

Waikiki Trolley Routes are designated by color: Red, Blue, Green, Purple, and Pink

- Waikiki Trolley Red line - called the historic line takes you to Iolani Palace, Chinatown, and Ala Moana Center

- Waikiki Trolley Blue line
is the panoramic line that takes you near Hanauma Bay, Sea Life Park, and Halona Blow Hole.

- Waikiki Trolley Green Line
is the scenic line that takes you to Honolulu Zoo, and Diamond Head area

- Waikiki Trolley Pink line
is the shopping line that takes you to Ala Moana Center.

- Waikiki Trolley Purple line is the Pearl Harbor line which also take you to the Stadium, Ala Moana Center, and Aloha Tower.
