Macau - Ruins of St. Paul - Helpful Information for Travelers
The Ruins of St. Paul is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the most famous landmark located near Senado Square in Macau.
The ruins are remains of the 16th-century complex of St. Paul's College and the Church of St. Paul.
The southern portico of the church, which remains intact, is an intricately carved stone facade with stairs in the front is the most photograph spot of Macau.
In 1838, a fire destroyed the fort buildings and the Jesuit College and St. Paul's Church.
The facade and stairway of the church are the only remains known as the Ruins of St. Paul's in Macau now.
Adjacent to the Ruins of St. Paul is Monte Fortress and Macau Museum.
