Orlando International Airport (Airport Code - MCO) is the main Airport for the Orlando metropolitan area, commonly referred to as Greater Orlando in Central Florida.

Orlando is the second busiest Airport in Florida and the 10th busiest Airport in the US; it handles more than 50 million passenger traffic every year.

Another small airport located in the Orlando area is "Orlando Sanford International Airport" in Sanford, Florida, near Orlando.

Orlando International Airport code is MCO and stands for the Airport's former name - McCoy Air Force Base (MCO).

Orlando Airport (MCO) has a large main terminal and four satellite or airside concourses connected via elevated people movers (Automated trains or shuttle).

The main terminal building at Orlando Airport has two terminals -

1). Terminal A (the building's north side), and

2). Terminal B (the building's south side).

There are passenger check-in, baggage claim, and ground transportation facilities in both terminals at MCO.

Terminals at MCO Airport are connected to -

One in the West Hall leading to Airsidess Satellite concourse 1 & 3, and

Another in the East Atrium, leading to Airsides Satellite concourse 2 & 4.

Domestic Arrivals at Orlando Airport

After disembarking flight, all passengers arriving from domestic flights and flights from Canada (Pre-Clearance done in Canada) follow the sign to Terminal and Bag Claims.

Walk to the APM (Automated People mover) train station in your arrival concourse or satellite terminal.

Take the APM train to the main terminal and follow the sign to the Baggage claim inside the main terminal.

International Arrivals at Orlando Airport

Passengers arriving by International flights at this Airport follow the sign to Passport control after getting off the flight.

Internal arrivals have to clear Immigration at passport control, then pick up bags and clear customs.

After clearing customs, either drop your bags on the belt to pick up at the main terminal or bring them with you if they are not heavy.

If Orlando is your final destination, then head towards the APM train station in your arrival satellite terminal.

Take the APM train to the main terminal and follow the sign to the Baggage claim inside the main terminal.

Transfers at Orlando Airport

Arriving international passengers with a connecting flight after clearing customs need to drop checked bags at the transfer belt for the next flight.

Head towards your next flight gate after dropping bags at the transfer belt (for Internal arrivals).

Domestic passengers with a connecting flight after getting off your first flight just go to your next flight gate.

Arrival at the Main Terminal at Orlando Airport

All arriving passengers with the final destination "the Orlando area" need to take the APM train to the main terminal from airside concourses (aka satellite terminals).

The main terminal building (A and B) has three levels.

APM train arrives at level 3 (top floor) of the main terminal.

Main terminal Level 3 has Currency exchange counters, shops, hotels, and much more for arriving passengers.

Baggage Claim is located on Level 2 on both Terminal A and B in the Main terminal building.

Curbside and Uber/Lyft pickup is on level 2 (same as baggage claim) outside terminal doors.

Taxis, shared shuttles, and all other modes of transportation are at level 1 (ground level) at this Orlando Airport on both sides (A and B).

Disney Magical Express bus is only available on Side B at level 1.

Orlando Public Bus (LYNX) is available on Side A at level 1.

The rental car companies counters are on the A-Side and B-Side of the Terminal on the Ground Transportation Level (Level 1) at MCO Airport.

You just go to Baggage Claim (Level 2) to obtain your belongings and then to the Hotel Transportation Desk located on Level.
