Maokong Gondola - Taipei, Taiwan - Helpful Information for Visitors


The Maokong Gondola in Taipei is a Cable-Car ride that provides passengers with an aerial view of the Maokong area (famous for tea plantations).

The Maokong Gondola operates between Taipei Zoo and Maokong.

This 4.3 km Cable-Car line has four stations:

1). Taipei Zoo station,

2). Taipei Zoo South Station,

3). Zhinan Temple station, and

4). Maokong Station.

Getting There

 

By Taipei MRT to Maokong Gondola:

- Take the Wenhu Line (line 1, mustard color) to the Taipei Zoo Station

- Take Exit 2 at Taipei Zoo MRT Station for the Maokong Gondola

- Walkabout 5 minutes to Maokong Gondola Station

Recommendation

Tips for riding Maokong Gondola in Taipei:

- The cost for the crystal cabin at Maokong Gondola is the same as the regular Gondolas. If the lines are not too long, take the crystal cabin.

- You can go for a few hours or stay there the whole day depending on your interest.

- Wear comfortable shoes for walking around the various station areas

- Combine this attraction with the Zoo since they are so close to each other.

- Go to the zoo and then take the Gondola from the Taipei Zoo South Station up to the Maokong Station
